BIO - Aldrin Calderon
Aldrin Calderon received his PhD in Energy Engineering from the University of the Philippines and completed his post-graduate course in Leadership for Sustainability from the United Nations University, Tokyo, Japan. He is a Mechanical Engineer active in the area of Energy & Sustainability and a member of the Technical Panel of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research & Development. He is an adjunct professor of Mapua Institute of Technology – School of Graduate Studies and presently the Cluster Head of the Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies (REST) Research Cluster under the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Prior, he was the Associate Director for Energy and Sustainability of Ayala Properties and was a member of the Department of Energy – Commission on Higher Education Technical Panels supporting the Republic Act 11285 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Law. Earlier in his career, he was a HVAC new product development engineer in Panasonic, a senior value engineering specialist in APC by Schneider Electric, and a researcher of the DOST-ITDI (Industrial Technology Development Institute) focusing on Nanotechnology for Energy & Sustainability – Carbon Technologies applications.
